This is one of the three highest ranked American Cheeses in 2013, winning the impressive Best In Show 3rd place. It was especially sweet a reward for cheesemaker Willi Lehner who is located just outside of Madison, WI where his Bleu Mont Dairy made this gem of a cheese!. It was especially rewarding to be at the awards ceremony and instead of an acceptance speech, Willi yodeled!

This cheddar is exceptional. I'm so glad I have been commissioned by the ACS to paint the winners, because I hadn't had the pleasure of trying this until now! It's absolutely perfect.
