From the Bread series.

Once again I get my bread fix in the studio from my local bakery. La Colombe makes this wonderful carb indulgence and it's chock full of figs and hazelnuts. I bought this loaf to eat, to toast, to slather with butter as a snack, while I painted a cheese portrait. However, I realized I had a deep need to get lost in painting another bread maze of caverns and pockets of this sour dough texture. Some days I just love to get lost in the beauty of bread.
