The classic cocktail is known around the world as an iconic American bourbon cocktail and it dates back to 1874 when it was invented at the Manhattan Club, in Manhattan, NY of course. The basic recipe is two parts bourbon, or American whiskey, and one part sweet vermouth, a dash of bitters and a splash of cherry juice. Garnish with the cherry and ... ENJOY.

I was thrilled to be commissioned two cocktail paintings and I started with the Manhattan, one of my favorite drinks of choice.
