Jambon de Bayonne (French Prosciutto)
oil on wood, 12x16"
From the Meat series.
I was able to trade this beautiful hunk of cured meat to worship with paint. It's a treat to have access to such a beautiful and delicious model.
Bayonne ham or jambon de Bayonne is an air-cured ham that takes its name from the ancient port city of Bayonne in the far southwest of France, a city located in both the cultural regions of Basque Country and Gascony. It is even named after the legendary hams of the port city Bayonne; Jambon de Bayonne has PGI status.
