Stori Dimon

oil on wood, 10x10"

Stori Dimon, original artwork by Mike Geno

From the Cheese Portraits series.

"Stóri Dímon" is from iceland, a country with a small population and yet a large amount of milk. M.S. Iceland Dairies, which makes most of the dairy products there, wraps this little wheel up in a nice heavy foil, fittingly like quality butter. The cheese is blue-viened and bloomy white rinded. This "green-veined Stóri Dímon is a soft-ripened , rich and creamy cow's milk cheese that goes down like butter" - Culture Magazine, the word on cheese.
