This is one of my earlier food paintings that seemed a natural transition between my painting of toys and kitsch objects and my new interest in painting food memories, especially local foods from Pennsylvania. Marshmallow Peeps are something I grew up with and I especially loved the idea of a wide composition of a whole row still stuck together, right out of the box.
