This 24 ounce prime porterhouse Black Angus steak was delicious!
I was commissioned to paint someone's favorite steak found in all of NYC.  They were generous enough to have me order a couple directly from Eataly and as part of the deal, therefore I could work from life and then eat my model.  There's something so incredibly seductive about a steak this pretty, cut this thick.  It is perfectly marbled and the color was intense.  I kind of worried people would assume I exaggerated the color; I did not.
I really loved revisiting painting a steak.
