Best of Show 3rd Place –white ribbon (Emmi Roth USA's Roth Grand Cru Surchoix)
The challenge was to not exaggerate the yellow color as Gruyere is not anywhere as colorful as it is flavorful. This wedge smelled sweet and tempting during the entire process of painting it's portrait! I couldnt wait to get to the finish point so I could eat a third of this wedge as my lunch. Apparently Gruyere goes nicely with strong dark roast coffee :)
