This portrait is a commission that had me revisit one of the most beautifully colored cheese. I was fortunate to get my hands on an aged wheel with a rind that shows some character. Since aged wheels of this cheese have now, unfairly, been banned in the US, it will be nearly imossible to find it with a beautiful rind pitted and sandstone-like.
I photographed the progress of this portrait at regular intervals.
