Tsunami: Spicy tuna, eel, with torched squid on the outside topped with spicy sauce and tobiko.
This interesting roll was at Koi, in Northern LIberties, Philadelphia.
I was particularly attracted to the "torched squid" on top.
The scored sections of squid appear as miniature curled tenticals when scorched and create tiny spiral translucent white waves, which are still hard to see in the painting.
