I had fun painting this little pickle spear. Recently I discovered the joy of a local producer: Brine Street Picklery when I stopped in at their new hoagie, cheese, pickles shop in my neighborhood; it's called Liberty Kitchen. They were smart to give a one of their "Straight Up Spears" with the artisanal hoagie I ordered. It's a basic wonderful pickle; Cucumbers in and addictive brine of garlic, vinegar, water, dill, spices, mustard seed and salt. They're perfect and so I bought a jar on my way out and brought back to my studio for some fun with paint.
